Safety tips for oldie newbies. I have been a safety nut for more years then I care to remember. Whether in the home, at work, at play or in the car I preach and practice safety. Oldie Newbie has collected tips from many different sources but many of them are from experience. I have a respect for fire and smoke and I check around the house, especially before going to bed, for anything that might be wrong. When I'm using the oven or stove top, I use a timer to alert me to check the cooking process.
