All of us have memories of our first car. The first car that I purchased was a Hillman Minx. I purchased
it from an older lady and the car was in pretty good condition. Apparently it originally was an automatic and someone changed
it to a stick shift. On wet days my girlfriend would get her feet wet from water coming in through the floor. The starting
motor would stick and I had to jump the car up and down in the front to unlock the starting motor. Other than those problems,
the car was fairly reliable and was used by my father for long trips over dirt roads. It was a good first car.I sold the car
to a friend and it was demolished by a plymouth on a wet sunday night. Thankfully the car
was well made and there were no serious injuries.
