Eggs, are they good or bad? Do you just eat the whites or both the white and the yolk?

in this story as I've heard so much about eggs.
When we were young (up
to age 10), we ate hens eggs and ducks eggs. Both were free range. They had the run of the yard and they ate worms and grubs
and other insects. The hen's eggs were brown and now we prefer to buy brown eggs.
Is there
a difference in white eggs and brown eggs. Only if the hens, laying brown eggs are free range hens.
